- ★ ★ ☆ ☆ ☆On a positive note they are very prompt and efficient. On the other hand staff is not very friendly or personable. They give orders with no explanation. The staff member that helped me was visiting with other staff members and barking orders at me. I know they are the only choice for DMV services so they have no motivation to be pleasant. - ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆I don't understand how this office in the Fargo area (an area with a population of over 200k people, and likely that many or more registered vehicles) can be so small. No matter what time of day or day of the week I have come for a somewhat time-sensitive matter, it is an incredible amount of people in front of me in the "take a number" queue. I appreciate the relocation to the newer office next door with an actual place to sit, but I myself have never been able to sit there due to the amount of people already there. And what is with the classroom type setup? Everyone is facing the north wall like those of us walking in are going to start lecturing or something. (Awkward.) And then I realize that this office is "not state funded", therefore they have to charge location fees on top of the fees that ND already charges for particular services. My question to the state of North Dakota, why the heck is the most populated area of the state sans state official DMV office? I can't be the only one that does not comprehend this. An extra $11 to take care of something that cannot be done online is pathetic, and then add another fee to pay via any method other than cash or check? Ugh.
